I’m Josh Brew, a Ghanaian-born researcher and performer who is dedicated to exploring music’s imbrication with technology and sustainability.

I’m an Andrew Mellon Ph.D candidate at the University of Pittsburgh in Music and Africana Studies & a fellow at the Woodson Institute for African American and African Studies, University of Virginia.

In my current project, Gifts from Nature, I take seriously the concept of “gift” as an experiment towards sustainability.
